  1. What Happens When You Pour Molten Aluminum in a Watermelon- First this guy poured molten aluminum onto a watermelon, it melted a hole into the top of the watermelon. Then instead of melting straight through the watermelon it ran through the watermelon and through the seed ways and channels and cooled down and created what appears to be a tree looking piece of cooled aluminum.

  2. Farm Theft Is On The Rise:
After Sally Ruggeberg convinced her elderly father to leave the Iowa farm where he was born for an assisted living facility in 2013, she decided to dismantle the family barn and salvage its materials. The barn held sentimental value—her grandfather built it around the turn of the 20th century, and it was a popular hangout spot when Ruggeberg was growing up because it housed a basketball court. The barn had fallen into disuse, and Ruggeberg figured she could strip away the walls and shiplap flooring and maybe get thousands of dollars for them. But one day in March, she discovered that thieves had done the job for her, having effectively stolen her barn.

  3. The future of bread comes from a lab
The Bread Lab has been receiving a lot of buzz recently. The Bread Lab is changing a lot of things. Plant breeders at public universities have concentrated on yield when breeding wheat and other grains. The plant breeders there work with farmers and bakers to develop new lines of wheat. They test the strains with high-tech machines and bakers. The resulting breads go from chocolatey loaves to buttery baguettes. Grand Central Bakery, with stores in Seattle and Portland, uses some flour that has gone through the Bread Lab. Head baker Mel Darbyshire says that particular strain has a “bright, fresh” flavor.

  4. FArm theft
Sally Ruggeberg had told her dad to go to a assisted living in 2013. she took down the barn from her dads farm and kept everything from it for herself. Her grandfather had built the barn and she just recjked it. The old barn wood that she took from the barn was sold for a lot of money but was it worth it? It was a family barn and she decide to take it for herself. thats why we need to think of things for others not ourselves.
