  5. i think that it means if you put in no work you wont get the full excitement of winning or the feeling of disappointment of losing and trying to do better the next time

  9. If you don't get into something that you enjoy, you won't really have a lot of fun with it, and when you fail, it will not hurt as bad, or when you succeed it won't be as good.
