ReplyDeleteI went to bingo, college scholarships, and smart credit. Bingo you learned what different about what careers are and what they did. And college scholars, i didntreally hear that well but i didnt hear what they are. and Samrt credit was good! i liked how they told about hwta oyu need to do to be smart with your money.
He was running for senator.
That you need to start now and dont waste you life. you have to start now to make your future bright.
I really enjoyed it and I learned a lot of new things.
Yes i would go again.
They need like microphones or somehting so i can hear them better.
I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be... I was excited from hearing what the older kids had to say, but when we got there, not so much. I went to the Vet thingy, and I couldn't really hear anything, so I got bored very fast. It would have been much better if they had a presentation maybe. Or have something where we could get involved and not sit as long. After that, we listened to someone talk, I also got bored during that, because I wasn't very sure about what he was talking about. It was interesting that he used to own Wiskey Creek though. For our second thing, we went to the college fair, which I liked. They taught us to be selfish, because it is our life. Not someone else's. I also got to know information about vet school. I even got silly puddy for asking questions. For our third thing, we played bingo, which was very sad because I wanted to win a T-shirt, which I did not. I was really excited for it too. I suppose I did end up with free chapstick. The lunch was also kind of sad, because it was cold, but hey, free lunch. I didn't like the event held in that place. I would prefer if it was in a place that has private rooms, where you can hear and see better.
ReplyDeleteI attended Vet science, Bingo, and the College Career Fair. In the career fair I learned a lot about scholar ship and about the different colleges. Vet Science I learned a lot about one of the jobs that I would like to go into. Ag Bingo was fun. Jim Jenkins was our keynote speaker he was very interesting he was the CEO of Whisky Creek and Skeeter Barns. He was a good speaker and I learned a lot about how you need to be your own boss.Career day was good but I couldn't here what some of the speakers were saying but overall good. I would like to go again because it was very interesting to find out things that i need to know about my future in college. To improve the experience I think they should maybe move it to a different to a different place so that there is no distractions and we can here better.
ReplyDeleteAll in all, I really enjoyed career day and thought it was a very productive event to go to. The first session I went to was ag bingo. There I learned the many different areas of ag that UNL provides, and the jobs that are included in those areas. The second session I went to the college fair. This was pretty good, though sometimes they were hard to hear because of all of the sessions going on around us. But I did manage to catch what they said about scholarships and the fact that you should apply for as many as possible. Third session I went to Smart Credit which was my favorite. I learned about identity theft and credit. The keynote speaker was Jim Jenkins. He had a lot of good things to say, such as life is short, we need to make the most of what we are given right now, because decades are going to pass by and we aren't even going to realize it. Even if you are working at a fast food restaurant, make the most of it. I would like to go again.
ReplyDeletei didnt go :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't like carrer day. First the people of the school was not nice this day and second, the people spoke to low to understand. but I really liked when the people spoke to us after the first session. I don't remember the name of the first session because i didn't choose this one, the second session was carrer bingo and it was kind of fun but we learned nothing. the third session was vet but I have really tried to listen but it was just impossible to hear. I think the people should speak up. But I think that it is interesting for the people who want to have a job in agriculture.
