Hemp in Nebraska: More Than Ditchweed?- The plant commonly known as ditchweed, which is a plant that looks a lot like marijuana, but it is not actually, it is like marijuana, but just a weaker brother according to a state patrolman. There are many beneficial things that hemp could do to the human body and the production of hemp in Nebraska is being thought about for it could become a new crop to invest in.
Hemp could boost Nebraska’s economy. Most Nebraskans probably know it best as ‘ditchweed,’ the plant that grows wild and looks just like marijuana.
Bill Hawkins of the Nebraska Hemp Company says hemp is an old crop with a bright future. Hemp experts say it could be profitable because of all the potential uses, but its real strength is its drought-tolerance. Hemp would serve well in a rotation, and uses a lot of the same equipment needed to grow other commodities.
Can China feed its people?- Miles of fields of corn, wheat, radish and cabbage will be replaced by runways and terminals, railway lines and roads. They project the project to be done by 2018. More and more things have been eating away the little farms they have.
